Mr. Skinny Legs

In our weekly curriculum, the letter of this week is /s/.

As quoted by O. Fred Donaldson, “Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn”, we have introduced playful and fun activities that will teach our kids the Alphabet art and also help them in recognizing the different alphabets. These activities also aid in developing and enhancing the motor skills of our children. Through this activity, our children had loads of fun as they put their creativity into play and made their very own adorable Mr. Skinny Legs, the spider! They traced the shape of the spider to learn the formation of the letter ‘S’.

While doing the craft we were singing the famous sing-along,

The Itsy Bitsy spider climbed up the waterspout.
Down came the rain
and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun
and dried up all the rain
and the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.

Up, up, up and down

Up, up, up and down.
